Two days ago - Lili and walked to class and were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves greeted by clear blue skies. In China, especially Zhengzhou, it is seldom that there are blue skies - it is even more rare to encounter blue skies with little to no smog...but we were happy to find that there was plenty of blue without the familiar haze of pollution.
After teaching - we decided that it would be the perfect day to go on an adventure and grabbed Rani, Jennie and Luke and headed out on the bikes to Zhengzhou University to check out the sites. We took some photos and had an amazing time.
Half way through - Rani's bike pedal fell off, my knees got hit by a wall and I was constantly attacked by bugs, however, we had an amazing day. It made me think of Oregon for sure with the perfect weather and honestly made me want to be home. I miss hiking and being able to go on outdoor adventures without worrying about smog. Oh well - only eight more months until change.
